He was predeceased by: his wife Sheilah Allene Shields (Moore); his siblings, Johnny Shields, Nola, Edith, Mary Sue, Frankie and Betty; and his parents, Minnie D Shields and John I Shields of Chattanooga, Tennessee..
He is survived by: his children, Angela Marie Hamill and Eugene Shields; and his grandchildren, Jackelyn Michelle, Kaili Carissa and Clinton Bailey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
