He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Briggs and Willie Alberta Briggs; and his siblings, Oscar Lee Briggs, Colin Briggs and Lovie Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Briggs; his children, LaRissa Briggs, LaToya Johns (Ronny), LaTasha Williams (Marcus), DeKeisha Williams, Courtney Rogers, Christopher Briggs and Tristan Briggs; and his siblings, Bishop Ervin Briggs (Joyce), Leatrice Briggs, Ethel Briggs, Kathleen Briggs, Gloria Briggs, Anthony Briggs (Rezshon) and Stanly Briggs.
