He is survived by: his former wife Bertha Wainwright; his wife Marian Nutter Jackson of Fruitland, Maryland.; his stepsons, Randolph W. Nutter of Quantico, Derek J. Nutter of Evans and Dominick E. Nutter of Wake Forest; his grandson James Oliver Pierce of Boydton, Virginia; his brother Richard Jackson of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Ayanna of Wake Forest, Dominick, Jr. of Wake Forest and Gabrielle of Wake Forest; his sister-in-law Hattie Gibson of Gladstone, Virginia.; his daughter Elizabeth Stills; his siblings, Susie Jackson, William Price, Charles Jackson, Jr. and Leigh Hunt Jackson; and his sisters-in-law, Iris Jackson and Vida Lee Jackson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, students, and co-workers.
