He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Chandler and Ethel McNeese Chandler. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Cargle Chandler; his children, Brenda, Jeff (Kelley) and Mike (Barbi); and his stepdaughters, Jenny (David), Becca and Sara (Mark). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
