She was predeceased by: her husband Troy Tate; her parents, Clifford Brewer and Sid Brewer; her sister Faye Brewer Quade; her half-brother Ed Tinsley; and her stepsiblings, Gordon Brewer, Nannie Lou Arthur (Brewer) and Flossie Stafford (Brewer).
She is survived by: her daughter Robin Painter Collins of Eton; her daughter-in-law Marianne Tate of Virginia Beach; her grandchildren, Audrey Collins, Nate Holliday of San Diego, CA, Rachel and Brandon Jozsa of Charlotte, NC; her great grandchild Madelyn Elizabeth Holliday; and her niece Carole Quade Enright.
