She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Thomas Hughes and Edith Birdie Hancock Hughes; her husband Rev. Charles Edward Godfrey; and her brother C. J. Hughes. She is survived by: her sister Christine Hughes Franklin (Charles) of Meansville, GA; her children, Edward Anthony Godfrey (Lisa) of Cumming, GA and Deborah Godfrey Washam (Mark) of Ellijay, GA; her grandchildren, Danielle Washam, Austin Washam, Lindsey Godfrey and Ansley Godfrey; and her sister-in-law Flora Hughes of Blue Ridge, GA. She is also survived by several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
