He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Lloyd Phillips and Elsie Ivalee Ash Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Brummett Phillips; his children, Richard Wayne (Kathy Phillips), James R. (J. Lynn Phillips), Michael Dale (Sherrie Phillips), Sharon (Robert McFarland), Kimberly Whitfield of Evansville, IN, Amanda Dixon of Epworth, GA and Crystal (Calvin Lowman); his brother Johnnie; his sister-in-law Karen Phillips of Epworth, GA; and his sister Geraldine McClure of Epworth, GA. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
