Joyce Mathis Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Mathis of Enigma, Georgia, who passed away on March 10, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Alvin Rowan and Lois Amanda Vickers Rowan; and her siblings, Tom Rowan, Charles Rowan, Venton Rowan, Bobby Rowan and Ovieda Ivemeyer.
She is survived by: her husband Sonny Mathis of Enigma; her sons, Marty Mathis (April) of Moultrie, Mike Mathis (Tricia) of Lexington, Andy Mathis of Elberton and Steven Mathis (Margo) of Nashville; her siblings, Reba Johnson of Florence, SC, Diana Bigler (Dick) of Clarksville and Randy Rowan (Martha) of Naylor; her grandchildren, Will (Maddie), Bryce, Ben, Mitchell, Retta and Mattie Mae; and her great grandchild Iris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Georgia Sheriff's Boys Ranch.
