He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frances Inman Gillis and John William Gillis, Sr.; his sister Terry Griffin; his wife Barbara Griner Gillis of Enigma, GA; his children, Melanie Wynn (Jamie) of Dupont, GA and Benjamin Gillis (Natasha) of Homerville, GA; his grandchildren, Hunter Gillis, Fisher Gillis and Edward Gillis; his siblings, Robin O'Berry of Homerville, Amber Tuten (Wesley) of Blackshear and Steven Gillis of Massachusettes; his stepson Michael Gray of Enigma, GA; and his stepgrandchildren, Heather Buhler (Matt) of Enigma, GA and Dylan Gray (Carmen) of Enigma, GA. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
