He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Griffin and Mary Whitley "Jack" Griffin; his former wife Lynda Gayle Barrentine Griffin; and his brother Vernon Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kyle King Griffin of Enigma; his son Michael; his daughter-in-law Kay Griffin of Enigma; his daughter Tina; his son-in-law Lance Ward of Nashville; his grandchildren, Roni of Valdosta, Allen Strickland of Valdosta, Craig of Valdosta and Alison King of Valdosta; his brother Carroll; his sister-in-law Mary Alice Griffin of Valdosta; his sisters, Frances Barfield Howell (Danny) of Enigma, Sara Nell of Tifton, Jerry Greely of Tifton and Barbara Griffin of Tifton; his grandchildren, Cory Rogers (Sydney Land), Parker (Kylie Haughton) and Julie Ann Griffin Alexander of Jacksonville, Florida; and also, Pate King, Abi King and Bailyn Joyce Haughton.
