She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Yawn and Elsie Cannady Yawn; her husband Jimmy Dale Akins; her brother Eston Yawn; and her son-in-law Joey Moore.
She is survived by: her children, James Akins of Augusta, Becky Moore of Enigma and Lucy Hand of Irwinville; her grandchildren, Josh Moore, Zach Moore, Michael Hand and Blake Hand; her great grandchildren, Gideon Moore, Levi Hand and Cheyenne Hand; and also, Josh Moore, Zach Moore, Michael Hand and Blake Hand.
