It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter Peterson of Ellijay, Georgia, born in Jacksonville, Florida, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Walter Peterson and Louise Meredith Griffin; his wife Patricia Wilcox Peterson; his daughter Regina Peterson; and his siblings, Lawrence Peterson and Gladys Powell.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tracey Peterson Terwilliger (George), Dana Peterson Ware (Mike) and Kimberly Dell Perdue (Craig); his grandchildren, Margo Walton, Brittany Hughes, Jason Hughes, Mikayla McDonald, Allie Ware and Casey Ware; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Ware, Carson Hughes, Braylin Hughes, Grayson Walton, Aiden Walton and Tucker Hughes.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to one of Walter's favorite charities, St Jude's Hospital.
