He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothea Stinson; his parents, Joseph Emory Sanford and Mary Quarles Sanford; his siblings, Ella Vee Sanford-Parks and William Emory Sanford; and his stepsons, David William Sanford and Jay Allen Sanford.
