She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Martin and Lorena May Abercrombie (Smith); her husband Rev. Emmett Burgess; and her brothers, Roy Abercrombie, Clyde Abercrombie, Hoyt Abercrombie, Otis Abercrombie, Herman Abercrombie and Leonard Abercrombie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Bramlett (Michael) of Ellijay and Carol Hensley (Danny) of Tuscaloosa, AL; her grandchildren, Candi Davis, Jocelyn Vanell, Michael Bramlett II, Lauren Maloney and Justin Hensley; her great grandchildren, Zane, Jack, Chase, Luke, Riley, Maylee, Myla and Colin; and her siblings, Elsie Kowitz of Ellijay, Madeline Hood of Ellijay and James Abercrombie (Teresa) of Adairsville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
