He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Orton and Mary Orton; and his sister Nancy Orton. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Jo Orton; his daughters, Amy Jo Bentz (Bill) and Mary Leslie Rodgers; and his grandson Robert Austin Rodgers.
