We are sad to announce that on April 16, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Patsy Ann Sanford of Ellijay, Georgia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Patsy Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Patsy Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Zed Chadwick and Clara Belle Cantrell Chadwick; and her husband Earl Garland Sanford. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Sanford (April) of Ellijay, GA and Kristin Blackwell (Clint) of Ellijay, GA; and her grandchildren, Bella Jones (Bryson), Brady Sanford and Zed Blackwell. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home (163 River St, Ellijay, GA 30540). A burial was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Crossroads Baptist Church (587 Crossroads Church Rd, Ellijay, GA 30540).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Mr. Harold Sanford at 542 Ridgeview Trail , Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mrs. Patsy Ann Sanford.
