He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Higgins and Katherine Felton Higgins. He is survived by: his children, Brian Higgins, John Higgins Jr., Susan Rogers and Pamela Higgins; his siblings, Gene Durham, Jerry Zurcher and Ella Mae Ledoux; his grandchildren, Alex Higgins, Megan Raymond and Ashley Glass; and his great grandchildren, Mya Raymond, Sophia Raymond and Mckenzie Glass. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery fund in memory of Mr. Higgins.
