He was predeceased by: his parents, Iverson Kinser and Bessie Wright Kinser; his wife Joann Kinser; and his son Johnny Louis Kinser. He is survived by: his cousin Franklin "Frank" Wright of Ellijay; his sister-in-law Hellen Kinser; his adoptive daughter Toni Calabro; and his daughter Marina Payne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
