She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivor Hughes and Elizabeth Hughes (Mojonnier); her husband Allison Deal; her daughter Deborah Carlile; her sister Marynel Lemke; and her grandson Robert Batten.
She is survived by: her brother Kenneth Hughes of Arab, Alabama; her daughter Colleen; her sons-in-law, Chris Putnam of Ellijay, Georgia and Roger Carlile of Chicago, Illinois; and her grandson Richard (Melany Batten) of Ellijay. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
