He is survived by: his wife Laura Owens McGivney; his children, Martha Amy Watkins (Ken) of Fayetteville, GA, Amanda Evelyn Reynolds, Deanna Olivia Cannon and Carl Scott McGivney; his siblings, Cary McGivney (Linda) of Acworth, GA, Kim McGivney (Mary) of Tryon, NC, Sean McGivney of Rochester, WA and Naomi Ruth Strasburger (Shane) of Rochester, WA; his grandchildren, Cutter McGivney, Masen McGivney, Rhett Smith, Zeke Smith Brayden Burnette, Raelyn Cannon, Caroline Cannon, Elijah Reynolds and Zoey Reynolds; and his great grandchildren, Kolton Smith and Rylan Smith.
