It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Waldon Martin of Ellijay, Georgia, who passed away on November 7, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James Waldon may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was an inaugural member of the ROMEO club, a group of Retired Older Men Eating Out and was seen in various restaurants in Ellijay on a daily basis until he developed Covid-19 in July of 2020.
