He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Edmondson; and his siblings, Hoke Rackley, Arthur Edmondson Jr., Johnny Edmondson and Darris Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Portia Anne Spivey Edmondson; his siblings, Donnie Edmondson, Geneva Ray (David), Delane McGuire (Dennis), Reba Slater and Jane Dillard; his children, Shonna Champion (Bobby), David Edmondson (Toni), Paula Taylor (Carl) and Walter Edmondson; and his stepchildren, Jennifer McCollum (Beau), Debra Drum (Bill), Thomas Gamel (Donna) and Rebecca Heffner. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
