He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurlo James and Artie Anderson James; and his sister Mary Ridley. He is survived by: his wife Ellene Gooch James of Ellijay, GA; his children, George Franklin James, Jr. (Beth) of Ellijay, GA and Nora Faulkner (Leroy) of Fairmount, GA; and his sister Retha Stanford of Marietta, GA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully asks that no food and flowers be brought to the funeral home; however, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation (https://www.alzheimersresearchfoundation.com) in memory of Mr. George Franklin James, Sr.
