She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Dover and Edna Johnson Dover; her husband Thomas Lewis Penland; her daughter Chris Penland Mahoney; and her brothers, Marvin Dover, Paul Dover and Eugene Dover.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Hensley (Joseph) of Ellijay, Thomas L Penland Jr. (Joy) of John's Creek, John Penland (Trina) of Ellijay and Lee Penland (Michele) of Ellijay; her grandchildren, Cate Mahoney, Sam Mahoney, Craig Hensley (Hannah), Joshua Hensley (Ainsley), Lewis Hensley, Anna Hensley, Grace Hensley, Elizabeth Waldbeser (Drew), Catherine Penland, William Penland, Bryan Penland (Laura Leigh), Claudia Penland, Morgan Reece (Trey) and Rachel Walters (Jake); her great grandchildren, Emma Hensley, Olivia Hensley, Barrett Hensley, Kensie Henley and Rowan Hensley; her brother Randall Dover (Jerri) of Ellijay; her sister-in-law Martha Dover of South Carolina; and her grandson Thomas L. Penland III. She is also survived by her four children and in-laws.
