He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Gatson and Charity Johnson; and his siblings, Paul, Eddie, Benny, Willie, Inzie, Dale, Dillard, Calvin, Nettie Mae and Louise.
He is survived by: his wife Deloris Powell Gatson; his children, Kimberly McPhee (Anthony), Kalonda Gatson, Kelcy Gatson (Devona) and Kenya Romeo (Leon); his grandchildren, Justin, Chloe, Kendall and Kameron; his siblings, Rosa Kent, Mae Gatson and Curtis Gatson; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Hailey (Bill), Odessa Best (Jesse) and Sylvester Powell (Theora).
He was born in Leesburg, Georgia to the late Ned Gatson and Charity Gatson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father Ned, his mother Charity Johnson, brothers Paul, Eddie, Benny, Willie, Inzie, Dale, Dillard, Calvin; two sisters Nettie Mae, and Louise.
