It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roosevelt Matthews (Ellaville, Georgia), who passed away on January 12, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Matthews and Mary L. Haynes Matthews. He is survived by: his former spouse Miss Brenda Dingle; his sons, Scott (Meg) and Brett (Crysta); his wife Norva; his granddaughters, Julia and Hannah Matthews; his sisters, Barbara Ann Jackson, Thelma Haynes and Georgia; his nephew James Jackson, Jr. (Jacqueline); and his nieces, Barbara L. Jackson, Melissa Hefflin, Charice Jackson, Tanisha Y. Habersham (Jimmy) and Georgia. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Deacon Roosevelt Matthews is asking that persons make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
