She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Dean and Daisy Evelyn Yarbrough Owen; her son Joseph Benjamin Chapman, Jr.; her grandsons, Jojo Chapman and Jarrett Chapman; and her brothers, Hilton Owen, Dickey Owen and James Owen.
She is survived by: her daughter Charmon Chapman of Ellaville, GA; her grandchildren, Tyler Chapman, Hillary (Brian Crider), Benjamin Jarrett Chapman, Kaelynn Riley Chapman and Evan Lee Chapman; her great grandchildren, Alahna Crider, Elijah Crider, Lailah Crider and Joziah Crider; and her cousin Rufus "Pete" Yarbrough.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery (2817 Ebenezer Rd, Ellaville, GA 31806).
