It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herschel Spence (Ellaville, Georgia), born in Winder, Georgia, who passed away on January 28, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Homer Spence and Cora Brock Spence; his wife Betty Spence; his son Lee Spence; and his grandchild Lacey Gazaway.

He is survived by: his daughters, JoAnn Holbrook (Daniel) of Williamson, GA, Beth VanLandingham of Americus, GA and Laura Buehl (Joseph) of Newnan, GA.; his grandchildren, Harlie Walley (Brant), Clayton Smith (Beth), Brandon Spence (Kelsey), Josh VanLandingham (Kalynn), Mariah Broome (Kyle), Zach VanLandingham and Jody Spence; and his great grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Kasen Walley, Cade Smith, Westen Walley, Penny Spence and Parker Spence. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
