He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel Nute and MeCellar Clemons Kirby; his siblings, James Kirby, Buddy Kirby, Doyle Wayne Kirby, Rachel Elliot, Shirley Hornbuckle and Joyce Cowart; and his stepchildren, Laura Cook, Johnny Murray and Mike Theus.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Keyton; his wife Carlynn DeVane Kirby of Ellaville; his brothers, Bob Kirby (Sharon) of Hartselle, AL and Harvey Kirby (Melody) of Hartselle, AL; his children, Terry Kirby (Gina) of Ellaville, GA, Tina Anderson (Tony) of Summerfield, FL and Lora McAllister (Randy) of Cleveland, GA.; his grandchildren, Maelyn Poole (Matt), Matthew McAllister, Morgan Harris (Patrick) and Josh McAllister; and his great grandchildren, Pate and Knolyn Poole. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
