He was predeceased by: his father John Thomas; his siblings, James Wiginton, Billy Wiginton, Ruby W. Mason, Gertrude Wiginton, Geneva W. Walton, Exie W. Spicer, Jewell W. Dudley and Lucille W. Kerr; and his grandson Scott Wiginton.
He is survived by: his wife Lettie Ophelia Henderson Wiginton; his children, Freddy Gene Wiginton (Vickie) of Glennville, Shirley Kangeter of Pembroke and Nickie Powell (Beauford) of Pembroke; and his sister Jesma W. Gann of Odessa, TX. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
