She was predeceased by: her mother Virginia Purifoy; and her parents-in-law, Chris Vander Houwen and Muriel Vander Houwen. She is survived by: her husband David Vander Houwen; her children, Kristina Barron, David Vander Houwen Jr. and Shawn Vander Houwen; her daughters-in-law, Michiyo Vander Houwen and Praise Vander Houwen; her granddaughters, Kiersten Boone, Caradwyn Barron and Katie Vander Houwen; her great grandchildren, Tobias Boone, Elijah Boone and Finley Boone; her brother Kenneth Purifoy; and her sisters-in-law, Karen White, Kristen Thorpe and Linda Burr.
