She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harvey Carithers and Fay Melindie Brown Carithers; her spouse Levie Russell McClain; her daughter Judy; her stepson William McClain; and her siblings, Cora Melindie, Alice Hayes, Sue Phillips, Mary Ann Poorman and William Alfred Carithers.
She is survived by: her daughter June; her stepdaughter Barbara Travis; and her siblings, Brenda Kirker (Robert) and Bobby Lee Carithers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
