He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nix and Lois Mildred Stancell Bennett; and his siblings, Henry Bryant O'Dell, Mattie Williams, Ramona Morgan and Marie Simmons.
He is survived by: his brother Clark Bennett (Doris) of Hull; and his caregiver Pattie Lord (Danny) of Comer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
