He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Starling "Buck" West, Sr. and Cora Mercerdese Hammock West. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Lea Byrd West; his children, Joshua West, Melissa of Bowman, Alana West Hicks and Christopher of Carnesville; his grandson Brantley Dean West; and his siblings, Mike West, Steve West, Ardie West, Jerry West and Judy Chandler. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
