He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Slocumbe and Nellie Brown Slocumbe; the mother of his children Joan C. Slocumbe; his son Robert J. Slocumbe, Jr.; and his granddaughter Lauren E. Slocumbe.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Neal Slocumbe; his daughter Lawana S. Pennington (Steve) of Statesboro; his stepchildren, Jeff Whitlow (Ruthie) of Savannah and Jennifer W. Plourde (Jim) of Greer; his daughter-in-law Lisa Slocumbe of Athens; his grandsons, Robert J. Slocumbe, III, Robert C. Pennington and Reid C. Pennington (Mary-Lynn); his stepgrandchildren, Aubrey, Avery Plourde, Drew Whitlow, Anna W. Jensen and Margaret Bryant; and his great grandchild Thomas D. Pennington.
