He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Capes and Annie Lou Capes. He is survived by: his wife Betty Capes; his sons, Robert Gary (Alisa Palmer Capes) and Evans; his grandchildren, Robert Jason Capes of Dallas, GA, Jamie Capes Richardson (Andrew) and Savannah; and his great grandchild Bennett Andrew Richardson.
