It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myra Faye Dixon McCannon (Elberton, Georgia), who passed away on February 12, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Dixon and Jamie Lee Mauldin Dixon; her husband Dennis McCannon; her sons, Eddy Higginbotham and Eric Higginbotham; and her brother Col. Charles L. Dixon.
She is survived by: her sister Mabel Payton of Elberton, GA; and her sister-in-law Norma Dixon of Elberton, GA. She is also survived by one daughter-in-law; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
