He was predeceased by: his son Roger Anthony Wansley; and his siblings, Imogene Wansley Drake, Paul Vernon Wansley and Curtis James Wansley. He is survived by: his wife Camilla Ruth Rosser Wansley; his son Richard Earl Wansley (Tonia); his granddaughter Amanda Wansley Brady (Adam); and his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Silas, Erin Wansley Slay (Caleb) and Trey Wansley (Shelby).

Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in his memory to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 1025 Welcome Church Road, Elberton, GA 30635.
