He was predeceased by: his wife Joanna Greeson; his mother Helen T. Scarborough; and his son-in-law Bob Cooper. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Cooper of Athens, GA, Catherine Glaser (Eric) of Stockbridge, GA, Audrey Greeson of Elberton, GA and Patrick Trammell of Valdosta, GA; and his grandsons, Matt Cooper (Brooke) of Athens, GA, Robert Cooper (Monique) of Athens, GA and Scott Cooper (Kristen) of Roswell, GA. He is also survived by 3 great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in John's name to St. Mary's Hospice House and the Georgia Wildlife Conservation Fund.
