He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Josh Dye; his parents, John Newt and Marion Frances Wall Dye; his brothers, Johnny Dye and Kramer Dye; his brother-in-law Eugene Dye; his wife Paula Dye; his sons, Jared Dye (Kelly) of Elberton and Joshua Dye (Lisa) of Lacey, Washington; his grandchildren, Kyle Dye, Kaylah Moss and Braxton Hambick; his siblings, Pete Dye (Darlene) and Dell Dye; and his sisters-in-law, Melinda Dye and Leigh Dye.

Due to COVID-19, a private funeral service will be held at Bethel E Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one's choice.
