She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pope Bridges and Camilla Pass Bridges; her husbands, John Douglas Blackmon and Howard Edward "Bob" Newton; her son-in-law Tom Robinson; and her siblings, Marcus Bridges and Mildred Hendrickson.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Robinson of Elberton, John, Dan and Terri Blackmon of Greenville, SC; her grandchildren, Cathy, Will Wiley, Sandy Robinson, Julie Blackmon, Mindy and Samuel Miller; and her great grandchildren, Grace, Claire, Chip Wiley, Eli, Seth Robinson, Grady and Emmett Blackmon.
