With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Marie Phillips Garner (Elberton, Georgia), who passed away on April 30, 2021 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jonah Baxter Phillips and Chester White Phillips; her son Chad Mitchell Garner; her siblings, Clyde Phillips (Gladys), Arthur Phillips (Vivian), Noah Phillips (JoAnn), Lillie Mae Webb, Leon Phillips and Jimmy Phillips; and her siblings-in-law, Dean Bradford, Anna Simmons and Myrtle Mealor.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Ray Garner; her daughter Stephanie Garner Benson (Jeff) of Bowman; her granddaughters, Kelsey Thomas Menendez (Gabe) and Hayden Marie Benson; her sisters, Martha Phillips, Joyce Bradford and Loretta Freeman (Lamar); and her siblings-in-law, Homer Webb, Lynda Phillips, Mary Helen Phillips, Brenda Scarborough (Junior), Beverly Woods, Dale Garner (Tammy), Ricky Garner and David Garner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in her memory to Deep Creek Baptist Church Lottie Moon Offering Fund.
