He was predeceased by: his parents, Holman Preston and Ruth Bryant Carroll; and his sisters, Bonnie McFarland, Betty Williams and Linda Kelly.
He is survived by: his wife Vera; his son Gerry Marshall Carroll (Lori); his grandchildren, Madison and Zachary; and also, Ed and Leisa Lucas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Berry Funeral Home (1265 Washington Hwy, Elberton, GA 30635). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at the Forest Hills Memorial Park (1642 Washington Hwy, Elberton, GA 30635).
