He is survived by: his wife Sue Nash Matthews; his children, David (Bridgette Matthews) and Nikki (Steele Mills) of Elberton; and his grandchildren, Dillon Matthews, Walker Bryant, Branson Mills, Palmer Matthews, Harrison Matthews, Matthew Coker, Remi Mills and Bristol Mills. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters.
