He is survived by: his mother Betty Berkland of Elberton, GA; his daughter Bobbie Brown (Travis Brown); his grandchildren, Ashleigh, Adam and Andrew of Atlanta, GA; his children, Dan Berkland Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Deanna Franklin (Ryan Franklin) and Matt Berkland (Alisha Berkland); his grandchildren, Aurora, Luna and Astrid; his brother Mark Berkland Sr. (Betsy Berkland) of Eustis, FL; and also Tim Berkland (Janice Berkland) of Lynchburg, VA..
