In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Charles had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Charles may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fields and Susie McElhannon Fields; his siblings, W. T. Fields and Kathleen Fields; and his wife Charlotte Starrett Fields.
He is survived by: his siblings, Nellie Noggle, Monteen (Morris Mattox) and Vernon; his sister-in-law Barbara Fields; his daughter-in-law Lisa Starrett; and his stepson Scott Coile. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Berry Funeral Home (1265 Washington Hwy, Elberton, GA 30635). A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Pentecost Chapel Congregational Holiness Church (389 Steven's Grove Church Rd, Lexington, GA 30648).
