With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Nance Rucker of Elberton, Georgia, born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Nance and Lucille Nance; her husband Guy Whitner Rucker, Jr.; her son Mark Rucker; and her brothers, Bob Nance, Mike Nance and Richard Nance.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pam Lilith of Lancaster, PA and Lynda Rucker; her stepson Greg Rucker of Glendale, AZ; her daughter-in-law Rita Wilhite of Elberton; her grandchildren, Matthew Rucker of Bowman, Carie Anne Dale of Elberton, Catherine Craddock of Athens, GA and Emily Craddock of Brooklyn, NY; her grandchildren-in-law, Tiffany Rucker and Jason Trapanese; and her great grandchildren, Kylee Dale, Kendall Dale, Makayla Martin, David Rucker, Samuel Rucker and Marcus Umble. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and her beloved dog and cats.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to Alley Cat Allies, 7920 Norfolk Ave Ste 600, Bethesda, MD 20814-2525.
