She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Gaines and Susie Adams Gaines Douglas; her husband John W. "Billy" Smith; her daughter Judy Smith Patterson; and her siblings, Norma Haston, Joe Gaines, Willene Tucker, Sara Waide, Mary Lee Bosco and Bobbie Hall of Atlanta, GA.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Romine (Charles) of Elberton; her son-in-law Doyle Patterson of Elberton; her grandchildren, Denise Rousey (Richard) of Elberton and Kevin Patterson (Julie) of Jefferson; her great grandchildren, Matthew Rousey (Kelsey) of Elberton, Bryse Patterson of Jefferson and Samantha Rousey of Toledo; and her great great grandchild Lincoln Rousey of Elberton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
