With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Glenn V. Mathis Sr. (Eatonton, Georgia), who passed away on September 17, 2019 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Charlie Mathis Jr.; and his brother Lee Rogers Mathis. He is survived by: his mother Bessie Lou Lowe-Mathis; his children, Sharon Jones (Ulysses), Glenn Mathis Jr (Melinda), Marvin Mathis (Jessica), Shumia Mathis-Cost and Edith Reid (Ernest); and his siblings, Charlie Mathis III (Dorothy), William Mathis, Victor Mathis, Sammy Russell, Robert Russell (Joanne), Rosia Lee Mathis, Geraldine Walker (Ronnie), Margaret Ward (Donnie), Pamela Jacobs (Anthony), Chanon Robinson (Forrest) and Lisa Weaver (Ezell). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
