We are sad to announce that on June 3, 2023, at the age of 79, Gene Tunis Askew of Eatonton, Georgia, born in Greensboro, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wover and Edna Patrick Askew; his wife Nita Askew; and his brother Edward Askew. He is survived by: his children, Butch Ellis (Laurie) of Eatonton, GA, Connie Cluff (Randy) of Eatonton, GA and Tina Sisson (Wayne) of Greensboro, GA; his grandchildren, Shani Ellis (Tommy), Sean Ellis (Kaitlin), Amanda Churchwell (Dustin) and Hope Beasley (Danny); his great grandchildren, Chance, Tucker, Kyle, Kaylee, Harper, Graham, Brantley and Brody; and his siblings, Brenda Askew, Christine Hallman and Mike Askew. He is also survived by many other relatives and many, many friends.
